Abstract:
Probably a photograph of Al Smith, who vacationed at the Biltmore Hotel (Coral Gables) in late January 1929. While there he played golf at the Biltmore and near the Bath Club (Miami Beach). (Matlack 7981 is of Al Smith in 1929.) Al Smith served four terms as New York's governor and unsuccessfully ran for U.S. president in 1928. ( en )
