Hampton had gone to Spain specifically to study designs he could incorporate into the hotel. The Pancoast was eventually demolished to make way for modern hotels. The Seville Beach Hotel, designed by Melvin Grossman, was built on the site of the former Pancoast Hotel in 1955.
