Abstract:
Shows widening of railroad bridge to accommodate automobiles. Seven Mile Bridge or Long Key Viaduct. Opened in 1938, the Overseas Highway is a 127.5 mile long road carrying U.S. Route 1 through the Florida Keys. The highway was built over the roadbed and bridges of the FEC Railway Oversea Extension, which had been destroyed in 1935. ( en )
