Abstract:
Seminole Indian standing on a canoe in front of chickees. Probably shot along Tamiami Trail. Seminole Indian Camp, showing roofs thatched with palmetto leaves and floors two feet from the ground; clothes line formed of bamboo pole supported by forked saplings driven into the ground. Kitchen left center in which log fire is built, has no floor. Native in foreground is poling 'dug-out' canoe along canal framework of thatched shelters which replace the wigwam are seen extreme left and right. ( en )
