Notes

Abstract:
Six swans and one duck (Mallard?) swimming in a pond surrounded by mangroves. Mute Swans, native to Europe, have often been introduced throughout North America to beautify garden lakes. As they prefer fresh water and temperate climates, they probably did not live long in this subtropical, salt water pond. (Their wings were probably clipped, preventing them from flying to waters more to their taste.) ( en )
