Mundy and Solomon were leaders in the 1930s Voter Registration drive. Because they encouraged blacks to vote, both man's lives were threatened by the Ku Klux Klan. Otis Mundy was Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Citizen Service League and Vice-President of the Republican Club of Dade County, Inc. ( en )
