Abstract:
Shows exterior of house before it was moved to Lummus Park and restored. In "Miami During the Civil War, 1861-65" by Col. James C Staubach, Tequesta, no. 53 (1993), p. 56. Frame vernacular house built by William Wagner in 1858, making it the oldest extant dwelling in Miami-Dade County. Before Metrorail construction in the late 1970s and early 1980s, the house was moved from Wagner Creek to Lummus Park. 1145 NW 8th Street. ( en )
