Notes

Abstract:
Landmark Fact Sheet for the House at 384 N.E. 94th Street, Miami Shores, dated 12/8/83. The property is classified as a residential structure and was constructed in 1925-1926 by the Miami Shores Company for Hugh Anderson. The architects were Kiehnel & Elliott. The house features Mediterranean Revival architecture with masonry/stucco construction, irregular plan, and Spanish barrel tile roofs. Notable architectural elements include a two-story entry tower, arched windows, extensive masonry detailing, and a porch with square posts. The house represents the largest and most decorated structure designed for the Miami Shores Company, serving as the home of Dr. William H. Walker for many years. A fire in 1952 caused damage to the front of the house, repaired by Edwin T. Reeder. ( en )
