Notes

Abstract:
Christmas bird counts have been conducted in the United States since the early 1900's. These counts of birds within a 7.5 mile radius from a given point provide a yearly nation-wide survey of bird populations in winter. Christmas bird counts, such as at Coot Bay, Florida, provide long-term data bases on the occurrence and abundance of birds in that particular area. This report summarizes data from Coot Bay Christams Bird Counts from 1951 through 1979. ( English )
