Views of farms south of Lake Okeechobee, September 9, 1916: 4. "H. N. Graham on North New River Canal, 2 1/2 or 3 miles below Lake, pointing to Fruitcrest, 3/4 mile west where T. E. Will is exploiting a tract of land. He says no farming has been done on this tract. He is experimenting on machine to break up the land." -- 5. "R. I. Hearn and W. A. Blount. Custard apple land in rear being cleared. Elder berry land already cleared and cropped. Finest residence on Lake." -- 8. "A. V. Callahan, pioneer everglade gardener, and H. N. Graham, in front of Callahan 'mansion' on south shore of Lake Okeechobee, near Ritta P.O." HMSF no. 1976-89-19. -- "H. N. Graham with W. E. Hearn and W. A. Blount on [T. General Note:
Richard J. Bolles built the Bolles Hotel in 1910-1911 to house prospective buyers of reclaimed land. Ritta's name was changed to Lake Harbor in 1931.
