Hotel Ponce De Leon; St. Augustine, Florida; The Oldest City in the United States; The first great resort hotel of Florida's East Coast Hotel System, was started by Henry M. Flagler in 1885. Completed in 1888, costing about two and a half million. Its Spanish Moorish buildings and magnificent grounds surrounding them cover about 13 acres of reclaimed land in the heart of the city.
