Scope and Content:

A studio portrait of Edwin Earle Johnson taken in December 1897. Mr. Johnson was an electrical engineer for Key West Electric Light & Power Co. He was born 25 Apr. 1874 and died 15 Oct. 1902 of "accidental electrical shock." He married Nellie Blanche Saunders. Their son was Earl S. Johnson and they lived at 830 Division Street, now known as Truman Ave. From the Johnson/Watlinglington collection.
