Abstract:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, DECLARING THE INTENTION OF SAID CITY COUNCIL TO ANNEX TO SAID CITY AT THE EXPIRATION OF 30 DAYS FROM THE APPROVAL OF THIS ORDINANCE THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED TRACT OF LAND, RUNNING FOR THE POSTING OF THIS NOTICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH LAW AND DETERMINING THAT SAID TRACT OF LAND PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED CONTAINS LESS THAN 10 REGISTERED VOTERS, THE FOLLOWING BEING THE DESCRIPTION OF SAID LAND, ALL OF WHICH IS LOCATED WITHIN DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, THE SAME COUNTY WITHIN WHICH THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA IS WHOLLY LOCATED: Beginning in Dade County, Florida, at a point 1500 feet east of eastern terminus of the northern shore of the government cut (as now surveyed, established and constructed extending from the Atlantic Ocean to the waters of Biscayne Bay) and from said point of beginning run west to the northern boundary of said government cut; thence in a westerly direction, meandering the low watermark of the northern shore of such government cut to the western terminus thereof; thence due West on a line parallel to the South line of sections 3 and four of Township 54 S. of Range 42 E. to appoint Biscayne Bay 508.85 feet South in 13,015.6 feet West of the southeast corner of the southwest quarter of said section 3; thence southerly along the eastern boundary line of the city of Miami, Florida, and said line project itself to a point on a line running due east and touching the low watermark on the north side of bear’s cut in the most southernmost point of Virginia key; thence run East 1500 feat east of the low watermark of the Atlantic Ocean on the east side of Virginia key; thence North in 1500 feet east of the low watermark of the Atlantic Ocean to the place of beginning, together with all islands, sandbars and submerged lands, lying between the eastern line of the above described land and the western line thereof.
