Abstract:
Cake in the shape of the Miami Beach Convention Center. Sign reads: Miami Beach Convention Center Ground Breaking Cake. Presented by the Neighborhood. Designed, baked and constructed by the Pastry Staff of the Fontainebleau Hilton. Geoffrey Schober, Executive Chef and Daniel Malone, Pastry Chef. This cake weighs 350 pounds, and took 75 hours of hard labor by 14 skilled chefs and assistants to complete. It consists of 600 eggs, 122 lbs. of sugar, 83 lbs. of flour, 79 lbs. of butter and numerous other delicious ingredients.
