Abstract:
1940 “Timicuan Atheletes” compiled by workers of the Writers’ Program of the Work Projects Administration in the State of Florida as part of the series “Stories of Florida: Prepared for use in Public Schools.” This beige, coverless booklet deals with Timicuan athletes, some of the games they played, and what their lives were like. Federal Works Agency Administrator John M. Carmody, and the Work Projects Administration were in charge of the writing of this booklet. The Work Projects Administration consisted of: Commissioner F. C. Harrington, Assistant Commissioner Florence Kerr, and State Administrator Roy Schroder.
