Abstract:
1912 Black and white South Florida mangrove swamp lands. To penetrate the underbrush for only a few feet on the oceanfront was impossible without the use of a machete, and workers were harassed by millions of mosquitoes, sand flies, rattlesnakes, moccasins, coral snakes, rabbits, raccoons, and other denizens of the swamp.
