Notes

Abstract:
The Bass Museum was founded in 1963 when John and Johanna Bass donated a collection of Renaissance and Baroque artwork to the City of Miami Beach. This was combined with the collection housed in the Miami Beach Library and renamed the Bass Museum of Art. The building was designed to be the library in 1930 by Russell Pancoast. This picture shows additional construction in the 1960s and another expansion designed by Arata Isozaki was constructed between 1998 and 2002.
