Abstract:

1960 Black and white Page 10, Florida Living Magazine of the Miami News Article, dated in 1960 – titled “Our Changing Scene.” “Thirty-five years ago the exclusive Bath Club and the neighboring Gulfstream Apartment hotel stood as lonely sentinels in the 60th Street area of Miami Beach. (Photo at right). Today the Gulfstream (arrow, lower photo) is almost engulfed by hotels and other apartments while the Bath Club is hidden almost from view by the Royal York Hotel. The one-lane wooden bridge over Indian Creek waterway in 1925 picture has been replaced by a four-lane span.
