Notes
Abstract:
Photographs from the episode of "The Mike Douglas Show" broadcasted on January 16, 1976 and rerun on July 16, 1976 from Miami Beach, with Jackie Gleason concluding his co-hosting duties. Guests included actors Michael Caine, Sean Connery, and Christopher Plummer; actress Audrey Meadows; singer Donna Cellini; ventriloquist Wally Stratton; Garo Yepremian, Miami Dolphins place kicker; marksman Tom Frye; Sonny Everett, director of Air Show; and stunt flyers, The Red Devils. The event took place at the North Shore Community Center (now North Beach Bandshell), a notable example of Miami Modernist design by architect Norman Giller.
