This video contains the first part of the Virginia Key Beach Documentary. The documentary contains several recollections, memories, and descriptions of Virginia Key Beach and its status as a segregated beach, what the beach was like during segregation, and the city of Miami during segregation. This portion of the oral history documentary contains the following participants: Garth Reaves, Kenneth T. Williams, Leah Sands, Dr. Dorothy Fields, Dr. Edward Braynon, Eugenia B. Thomas, Helen McCoy, Wilhemina F. Jennings, Fred Brown, and Dr. Edwin Demerit.
