Abstract:
Deacon Jones (right), Ted Hendricks (left), and Mercury Morris (middle) talk at the 2008 Larry Little Legends Golf Classic Pairings Reception. The annual tournament benefits Virginia Key Beach Trust. Ted Hendricks played defensive end at the University of Miami in the 1960s and later became a linebacker for the Baltimore Colts. Hendricks played professional football for 15 seasons with the Baltimore Colts, Green Bay Packers, and the Oakland and Los Angeles Raiders and was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1990. He is a 4-time Super Bowl champion and an 8-time Pro Bowler. Morris played Running Back for the Miami Dolphins in the 1970s. He played in three Super Bowls and three Pro Bowls, and is a two-time Super Bowl champion. David "Deacon" Jones was a professional football player who played for the LA Rams, San Diego Chargers, and Washington Redskins. Jones was considered one of the greatest defensive players in NFL history and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1980. ( en )
