Mr. Range is the treasurer and a member of the Virginia Key Beach Park Trust, as well as the grandson of the Trust's founding chair Mrs. M. Athalie Range. To his right (in white) is Eugenia B. Thomas, the former Vice-Chair of the Virginia Key Beach Park Trust, who was also the first black president of Florida's Parent Teach Association and a lifelong advocate for children. To his left is Vice-Chair of the Trust, Enid C. Pinkney, who has worked over the years as a preservation leader to ensure that the history of African Americans in Miami is preserved and remembered. |
