Abstract:
Garth C. Reeves and a woman listen to a speaker at the 2008 Larry Little Legends Golf Classic Pairings Reception, an annual tournament and reception benefitting Virginia Key Beach Trust. Garth C. Reeves, the publisher emeritus of the Miami Times, the oldest and largest black-owned newspaper in the southeastern United States. Reeves worked at the Times for over five decades as a columnist, editor, and publisher, and was the first African-American to serve on several local boards. ( en )
