Abstract:
A group photograph of former pro football players and other guests at the 2008 Larry Little Legends Golf Classic Pairings Reception. Former players from left to right: Earl Morrall, Bobby Bell, Eric Knowles, Larry Little (in light blue), Ted Hendricks (back), and Elvin Bethea. Larry Little played right guard on the history-making 1972 Miami Dolphins, racking up many individual accollades and awards. He is a 2-time Super Bowl champion and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1993. He is also dedicated to supporting the Virginia Key Beach Trust to ensure the preservation and upkeep of the historic park that he himself visited as a child during segregation. Ted Hendricks played defensive end at the University of Miami in the 1960s and later became a linebacker for the Baltimore Colts. Hendricks played professional football for 15 seasons with the Baltimore Colts, Green Bay Packers, and the Oakland and Los Angeles Raiders and was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1990. He is a 4-time Super Bowl champion and an 8-time Pro Bowler. Bell played his entire professional career with the Kansas City Chiefs as a linebacker, where he received many accolades and awards. He was a three-time Pro Bowler and a Super Bowl champion, and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Bethea played defensive end for the Houston Oilers from 1968-1983. He was selected to the Pro Bowl 8 times and was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2003. His 1973 16-sack season still stands as the best in Oilers'/Titans' history. Gordon "Eric" Knowles is Chairman of the Miami Chamber of Commerce. ( en )
