Abstract:
Workers clearing debris at Virginia Beach Park caused by Hurricane King in 1950. Hurricane King struck Miami on October 18, 1950 as a Category 4 storm and caused over $15 million in damage in the Miami metro area alone. Over 20,000 houses were damaged by the storm, including some buildings on Virginia Beach Park. ( en )
