Abstract:

Baggage ticket produced by the New York and Cuba Mail S.S. Co. for the Ward Line Stateroom, specifically for Room #335, First Class. This ticket, dated August 29, 1934, was issued to Abril Lamarque for travel aboard the SS Morro Castle. The vessel routinely operated between Havana, Cuba, and New York City. On September 8, 1934, the SS Morro Castle experienced a devastating fire, running aground and resulting in the loss of 137 passengers and crew members. ( en )
