Large tripod vessel. ceramic, "Chocolate Pot" style. Bowl diam. 7 1/2 cm x 17 cm. high. Total height 32 cm. Exquisite workmanship. Each leg has human-like figure playing a musical instrument which is an extension of it;s own face. Mod. repairwork, which can be improved. Huetar culture. Prov: Linea Vieja, Costa Rica. Most probable date: 500-1000 A.D.
