|a Wakal is a very important river in southern Rajasthan. Its catchement is rich in
biotic wealth. The state's many rare and threatened species are confined to this zone.
Besides providing a home to a variety of wild species, the Wakal catchment sustains the
livelihood of thousands of human beings in Jhadol, Kotra, Girwa, Gogunda and
Khedbramha tehsils. To understand the biotic features of Wakal basin, the present study was conducted with the support of World Vision India, Udaipur and many other organizations and
individuals. |
