|a City of North Miami Beach had intervened in legal proceedings between the Dept. of Transportation and the individual property owners abutting the road that allow access to Arch Creek Park from Biscayne Boulevard by school buses. The agreements between the City and the property owners were recorded in Stipulated Orders from the Dade County Circuit Court. The Orders stated that the City would transfer title to the road to abutting property owners provided improvements to the properties were done, but seems transfer of title has not been effectuated.
Arch Creek Trust believes that it is essential that the Dade County Parks Department provide a statement for the record that there is a need for the Old Dixie Highway to remain as public access to Arch Creek Park. The City must have complete information about the significance of the road access to the community, so that it can incorporate this access need into its development plans |
