Notes

Abstract:
The surface of Arch Creek Canal is blanketed with unsightly aquatic weeds. Duckweed, alligator weed and torpedo grass present a canal maintenance challenge to the agency. Even though the District has worked with the Arch Creek Trust to explore alternatives to chemical treatment, the methods have not proven successful in eliminating the reoccurrence of these weeds. As a result, the District has established a schedule to chemically treat the aquatic weeds and remove the trash from the canal
