Abstract:
Crown made by Antonio Salas. Small copper crown with nine brass tools hanging from the rim on chains. The crown is for the orisha deity Oyá, the deity of the winds and tempests. The tools hanging from the crown are part of Oyá's paraphernalia and empower the deity. This piece was commissioned and purchased especially for exhibition at Historical Museum of Southern Florida (HistoryMiami Museum). ( en )
