Abstract:
Shows the front facade of the building and customers ordering at the window. Photo date stamped Dec. 23, 1979.Caption: Roberto Clemente Cafeteria, located in the Wynwood neighborhood, allegedly used to be a big drug distribution spot. Wynwood is a Miami neighborhood. Its boundaries are NW 36th Street on the north, NW 20th Street on the south, Biscayne Boulevard on the east and Interstate 95 on the west. The area is also called "Little San Juan", as many Puerto Ricans settled here after coming from the island and northeastern cities in the 1950s. ( en )
