Abstract:
Photograph of a graffiti piece or 'burner' that reads "COCAINE" in the Fountainbleu penit, 1986. Called "Penit's" by graffiti writers in Miami, they are abandoned buildings where writers went to paint more indepth pieces, coined as "burners". This is an abandoned, unfinished building in the Fountainbleu area of Miami believed to have been constructed to be a penitentiary; hence the name 'penit'. ( en )
