Abstract:
La Gorce Golf Club was built in 1927 and opened in 1928. At first, it was reserved for use by guests at Carl Fisher's hotels on Miami Beach. After World War II (1939-1945) it became a public golf club. It is presently a private golf club again. The clubhouse in this photograph, designed by August Geiger, no longer exists. It was demolished in the 1980s. ( en )
