Notes

General Note:
Large group of people gathering along the train tracks near the National Enquirer in Lantana, waiting for the giant tree be turned on. The owner of the National Enquirer, Generoso Pope, first installed a giant Christmas tree in front of the newspaper's building in 1972. The event grew over the years, featured exhibits and displays, and ultimately drew a million viewers. The tree in 1979 was 117 feet tall and listed in the Guinness Book of World Records. After his death in 1988, the tradition was ended.
