|a Lee House was situated at what is now 319 E Boynton Beach Blvd. On the balcony of the second floor are (left to right): Estelle Lofton Foy, an employee who helped Mrs. Lee run the house; Debro David Lee, and Barbara Ann Ford Lee, proprietors. Lee House operated between 1914 and 1939 and featured a large lazy susan in the dining room. Many clubs and other organizations met there. D.D. Lee was sued in 1948 to "quiet the title" of the property. Published in the Boynton Beach Historical Society newsletter, The Historian, May 2007. |
