General Note:
Artist Bernard P. Thomas (1918-1994) stands next to Ava Stout Weaver (1893-1995), in a wheelchair, at her 100th birthday, 15 March 1993. Ava Weaver taught elementary school in Palm Beach County from 1927 to 1959 and lived to the age of 102. Bernard Thomas was a successful artist and art teacher who divided his time between Boynton Beach and his hometown in Wyoming. He is particularly noted for his murals, greeting cards, and art classes. He predeceased Ava Weaver by a year, dying in 1994.
