Scope and Content:
Mel Schlesser, a lawyer and architect is the Vice Chairman of the Ocean Drive Association and a director of Miami Beach Development Corporation. He first moved to Lighthouse Point from New York in 1980 and fell in love with buying and renovating small buildings in South Beach though his Jamech Development Co. In this interview, he talks about the beginning of his career in Miami Beach, the development of his passion, and the importance of preserving Miami's historical buildings. ( English )
