Portrait of Bertha May Daugharty Williams Chadwell. Historical note: Bertha May Daugharty Williams Chadwell (1887-1982) came to Boynton Beach in 1907 from DeLand Florida with her husband, J.J. Williams (1876-1947). They owned several businesses in Boynton Beach, including a tomato farm, a taxi service, Boynton Lumber Yard, and Boynton Fernery and Mango Groves. She was friends with people far and wide and active in many local organizations, especially the Boynton Woman's Club where she was president.
