Notes

General Note:
The Casino parking lot with two cars and several damaged palm trees. Stamped "Geibel's Photo Service, Lake Worth, October 11, 1947" on back. Historical note: The Casino was built in 1928 and designed by architects King and Campbell, replacing a simpler bathing house there from at least 1920. The Mediterranean Revival building was used as a recreational facility, hosting barbeques, dances, ceremonies and offering a restaurant. After 1939, showers and lockers were also available. The building was torn down in 1967. The 1947 hurricane struck the Boynton Beach area on about 17 September 1947.
