Two story brick building with cupola and flag. Group of schoolchildren and adults are standing at entrance. Historical note: Children were educated in several temporary schools from 1897 to 1900, when a permanent school was built. In 1913, this new, larger building was constructed. It remained in operation as an elementary school until 1988, then was used as a community center until it became the Schoolhouse Children's Museum and Learning Center in 2001. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.
