General Note:
Herb Goodman landing a 12 1/2 foot hammerhead from the shore. Historical note: Known as the "Shark Man of Lake Worth," Louis "Herb" Goodman (1898-1988) was famous for catching sharks through shore fishing. He landed 177 sharks over 6 feet long, all but three from a beach near Boynton Beach Inlet. His exploits were reported in many international publications and he appeared on To Tell the Truth in 1963. He also owned and operated a small locksmithing and tackle shop in Lake Worth, Herb's Key Shop, established 1938. Published in the Palm Beach Post, 22 March 1970.
