Photograph showing Mary Barnott Peden seated with pots of various sizes around her. Mary Peden was originally Mary Silvan who married Edward L. Barnott. They were early settlers of Biscayne. Years after he passed, she married John H. Peden. Along with her husband William H. Barnott, managed the lighthouse on Key Biscayne Bay. ( en )
