Abstract:
Interview with Tawny Petillo, a lifelong LGBTQ+ supporter, gay bar employee, and daughter of burlesque dancer Zorita, engages in an insightful oral history interview with Julio Capó, Jr., Deputy Director of Wolfsonian Public Humanities Lab and Associate Professor of FIU Department of History. Petillo discusses her personal experiences growing up with Zorita, while also delving into Zorita's bisexual identity, career, and the challenges and achievements she encountered throughout her life.
