Abstract:
Gerard Riveron, a French jewelry professional, recounts his personal and observed experiences with HIV/AIDS. Residing in New York during the early AIDS epidemic, he lost several friends to the disease and faced societal stigma and rejection. Diagnosed with HIV himself in 1996, Riveron returned to France for treatment after an initial grim prognosis in the United States. Riveron emphasizes the significance of healthy living, safe sex, and self-respect while advocating for kindness and understanding towards those affected by HIV/AIDS. His story is a testament to survival and the ongoing challenges posed by the disease.
