Notes

Scope and Content:
Robert Swedroe is a prominent architect and an artist who has designed and built most of Aventura's luxury high rise residential buildings. A graduate of Yale, he first came to Miami Beach in 1960 and worked for Morris Lapidus, famed mid-century modern architect. He was the senior designer for the Lapidus firm and designed a variety of buildings on Miami Beach. After many years working with Lapidus, he launched his own architecture firm. He was one of the first architects in the country to design residential high rises in which each apartment has private elevator access and both sunrise and sunset vistas. Mr. Swedroe discusses the life of an architect with a passion for integrity of design. He is an accomplished artist, whose first show was organized by Miami Beach impresario, Judy Drucker.
