Notes

Scope and Content:
Randall Robinson is a city planner and historic preservationist who writes about architecture. He talks about his involvement from the late 1980’s on Miami Beach and his special interest in “MiMo” architecture, a term he invented, now the standard nomenclature for mid-century modern, Miami tropical architecture. He recalls the effort to gain recognition for MiMo apart from Art Deco. He talks about working with the Community Development Corporation and the Miami Design Preservation League.
