|a Frank Pinkney recalls working on Miami Beach during World War 2, shining soldiers' boots. He then became a caddy on Miami Beach golf courses. Later he became a bartender and won the confidence of many wealthy winter visitors. Eventually, he established a business as an auto transport driver. He would be flown up North to drive down the cars of the wealthy snowbirds and drive their cars home for them after the season. He worked at Normandy Shores and La Gorce Golf Clubs and at Curry’s Restaurant. People he mentions are Sonny Capone, son of Al, and Jake Lansky, brother of Meyer.
