Former chair of the Miami Beach Development Corporation (MBDC). His father came to Miami Beach in 1939. Owned Kasdin Dugs. Mother came in 1944. She booked acts for Lou Walters Latin Quarter. Mentions Joe Fleming, Ernie Martin and Dennis Scholl. He was born on the Beach and talks about his earliest memories. Tells family history: his father had a drug store chain and night clubs, his mother booked acts. He talks about how he came to be involved in urban revitalization, the lessons learned and what was unique about Miami Beach's story. He says how different the Beach would look today if Barbara Capitman hadn't appeared on the scene. He talks about turning points in the Beach's growth.
