Notes

General Note:
In the early 1920s George Merrick set aside land, in perpetuity, for Boy Scout Troup 7 where he had a log cabin with a coral rock chimney built for them on the western portion of the Granada Golf Course. Unfortunately, the original structure burned to the ground in 1971, leaving only the fireplace and chimney. Troop 7 later built a brick patio on the site of the original cabin. Names of Boy Scout leaders and community friends were engraved on the bricks to commemorate the site. Troop 7 continues to meet every Wednesday in a more modern building that was built adjacent to the site of the original Scout Cabin. The entrance to the cabin can be found at the intersection of Cordova Street and South Greenway Way Drive.
